Welcome to Balanced Performance and Wellness. Meet Stefani Abreu, Ph.D.—a professor, researcher, and performance consultant specializing in health and human performance, injury prevention, stress management, and mindfulness-based performance training.
Our work is rooted in the belief that sustainable high performance emerges when science, thoughtful program design, and human-centered leadership come together. Rather than focusing on quick fixes or isolated interventions, We help individuals and organizations build systems that support resilience, well-being, and long-term excellence.
With formal training in kinesiology and human performance, Dr. Abreu's academic and applied work has focused on translating complex research into practical, evidence-based programs that can be effectively implemented in real-world academic, athletic, and professional environments.
Across her roles as an educator, researcher, and consultant, her ability to see patterns, clarify complexity, and guide thoughtful decision-making are foundational in this work. Our work closely aligns with faculty, coaches, clinicians, and high-performing professionals to facilitate and design programs that are scientifically rigorous, ethically grounded, and aligned with the realities of demanding performance contexts.
Our belief and steadfast commitment to this important work is the driving force to guiding high-performers to a balanced, and healthy plan for flourishing in longevity.
Our approach with performance and wellness work starts with the understanding that meaningful change happens when programs are designed with intention, clarity, and respect for both people and systems.
Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, a deliberate, inquiry-based approach, listening carefully, assessing context, and identifying the most effective leverage points before recommending action ensures that every program or individual engagement is aligned with real needs, grounded in science, and designed to last.
